We are currently hiring an Audit Senior to join a leading UK-based accountancy firm known for its heritage, professionalism, and client-focused services. In this role, you will lead audits, manage junior staff, ensure compliance with UK GAAP & IFRS, and deliver high-quality assurance services to a diverse portfolio. This position offers a clear path to audit management, with support for professional development and leadership training.
π οΈ Key Responsibilities:

Lead on-site audit assignments, supervising audit fieldwork and supporting less experienced team members.

Maintain and grow client relationships, addressing technical queries and managing expectations.

Perform detailed reviews of audit files and ensure compliance with international and UK auditing standards.

Assist managers with engagement planning, budget setup, risk assessments, and audit testing strategies.

Mentor and develop junior auditors through structured feedback and coaching.

Draft key sections of audit reports, including financial statements and disclosures.

Identify advisory opportunities that align with the firmβs broader service offerings.

Enhance firm expertise within specialized sectors like not-for-profit, private wealth, entertainment, and property.

Advance your technical skills, preparing for leadership or specialist roles within the practice.
π Candidate Profile:

Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with 2β3 years of post-qualification audit experience

Strong command of UK GAAP, IFRS, and risk-based auditing

Proven leadership experience managing audit teams

Excellent communication and client engagement skills

Ability to handle multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work

Sector experience in private clients, charities, property, or entertainment preferred

Proficient in audit software, Excel, and Microsoft Office
