Role Overview:

The Satellite Engineer will ensure smooth operation and maintenance of GDMO’s satellite systems and facilities, including uplink/downlink, IPTV, mobile news gathering, and fiber/MPLS links. This role works closely with Broadcast and Network Engineers to deliver seamless media and communication services aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Oversee day-to-day functionality of satellite uplink/downlink and IPTV systems
✅ Maintain mobile news gathering equipment and fiber connections
✅ Troubleshoot and resolve satellite-related technical issues
✅ Support CAR/Data Center infrastructure – UPS, CCUs, and environment monitoring
✅ Execute upgrades and system improvements to maximize uptime
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for technical support and project delivery

Required Qualifications & Skills:

🎓 Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

💼 Experience:

• 3+ years in satellite or broadcast engineering roles

• Team-based work experience

🛠️ Technical Proficiency:

• Strong expertise in satellite communications and broadcast systems

• Understanding of UAE regulatory standards

• Bilingual in Arabic and English preferred
